How we do it

Building a new home can be a daunting prospect but we work seamlessly with other trades and professionals to effectively manage the process from start to finish. The team are happy to work within your budget and will provide clear costing schedules so there are no surprises.

To begin, we would arrange for a Project Manager to meet with you and discuss your budget and wish list. We would provide an estimate of costs based on square meter dimensions to discuss.

With the project requirements and scope decided on, Redsons would facilitate a meeting with an architectural draftsman to initiate plans to submit to council. You may have someone you would like to work with or, if you prefer, we could recommend a service provider.

Typically there would be two drawing stages, one initial presentation of architectural plans and a subsequent set of plans produced with any amendments reflected.

Once plans are approved by yourself these are submitted to council for approval. A building consent, from council, is required before works can begin.

Once plans are finalised and building consent has been issued, quotes and costing can be confirmed and a Master Builders Contract signed. Typically payment schedules are negotiated to coincide with stages of completion as construction progresses. Once construction is completed, final payment is made.

We remain involved throughout the process and facilitate the issuing of Code of Compliance Certificates from council. This certifies that works have been completed in accordance with the building consent issued by council.
